Rob Dempster

Rob Dempster’s life stands as a testament to resilience, growth, and purpose. He was raised on his parents’ dairy farm in Manjimup, a small town in Western Australia. Rob grew up with hard work and strong family values that shaped a life of persistence and curiosity. As a child, sport captured Rob’s interest and basketball was his preference. His ability to work hard and compete was recognised with a scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport, which marked the beginning of his journey towards excellence in sport. Robert’s career reached its zenith when he played for the Perth Wildcats, culminating with a National Basketball League championship in 1990 that was signified not only by the victory on the court, but by representing years of commitment and ongoing personal development.

Rob has also amassed a diverse career in recreation management, coaching professionally, and in real estate sales. His qualifications include diplomas in Life & Career Coaching, Frontline Management, and Real Estate Sales, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management. Currently, Rob is the director of Team Aspire TMF, an opportunity to inspire and enable others to achieve their best selves. Rob simplifies and articulates his philosophy as such: winning is a choice and growth is intentional.

Rob’s debut and only book, Almost Winning to Winning, is a result of decades of experience, reflection, and his love of personal growth. He invites you on a journey toward learning the mindset, accountability, and consistency to go from “almost” to “achieved.”
